Any One Here Have Experience with Citrix?

my problem is that whilst I can remote log-on using citrix from my laptop with win 7 , i have just re-built my old dell (5 years old) desktop with win 7 and can't get ctirix to work.

i use chrome on my laptop.

i have installed firefox, IE and chrome on the desktop in an attempt to get citrix to connect.

the problem works as follows-

i get on to my work log on page, i log on with my user name, password, and token password. my works website brings up the remote application (database, office progs). I click on any of those application and nothing happens.

I note in chrome there is no plug-in on my desktop whilst my laptop has Citrix ICA Client - Version: 13.1.201.3 plug-in.

I've repeatedly downloaded citrix receiver and installed it. I have also used the citrix removal tool to clean up my system before attempting a further reinstall.

It's pretty fustrating as I have used citrix on my old xp atom desktop, atom netbook.

my "new" has the computing power behind but citrix is just not happening/

any suggestions about how to get citrix receiver happening would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Don't use chrome, just use firefox. After entering username and password for citrix login make your you click on the briefcase icon and allow permission or something like that on the LEFT hand side of the URL address bar.

Also make sure your UAC settings are turned off in the control panel. You can also add the remote site to trusted websites.

I personally used IE, firefox/chrome gave me problems connecting opening any apps

IE is weird in that when I get to my work log-on page it only shows a username field and the OK button. there is no password field or token password field.

thanks, I'll try yours and rlee923 suggestions tomorrow.
