I was just interested if anyone took advantage of Kmart's price match policy. So have they changed to just 'matching' the competitor's price or are they still doing the '10% off the difference in price.'
Thanks for your time.

But I hear people saying on here that they have used the 10% off the difference in price just a few weeks ago. So I just wanted to make sure if it still works in some stores. Thanks for that anyway. I'll might just ring up and ask their customer service.
Fair enough. I just assumed that their website would be the most current up to date, but it would be interesting to see if it is in fact a 10% off the difference arrangement.
Just looked at the current catalogues too and they only mention the price match.
Actually, quite a few months ago, I was told that they would only match an offer that I'd brought in and that it could only be done if it was a shop within the same shopping centre :(.
They are definately now only doing the price match. Lollyinthesky - thats absolute crap sometimes the store manager will only allow for it in the same state but it is definately not limited to only the shopping centre. I used to be the checkout manager at a few stores and i have heard that a couple of times now but they normally only say that so they can be lazy and not have to ring to see if the store has stock as they will only give the price match if a store as the item in stock.
I tried to price match a printer with Tandy who is in the same shopping centre (Northcote, VIC). They were very reluctant about it and did not offer the 10%. I didn't pursue it any further. Suffice to say I don't think they are serious about their price match, rather it just sounds good.
Yeah, policy was changed to cut the 10% off the difference…but you could strike lucky and find an employee who hasn't been informed of the change. I work at one of them and only found out from a coworker, then had to tell someone else after finding out they did a 10% difference.
And for price-matching, it's usually only on the closest store if it's still in stock.
I think this is pretty self explanatory.
