(SOLVED) Kogan Gift Card Code - STOLEN

I purchased a Kogan Gift Card Code through Kogan, and it's saying invalid when I tried to use online today.

I contacted Kogan and the staff is unhelpful, mentioned it has been used already which I didn't…

Herewith attached the reply below… "We apologise, the credit note has been applied to an order already. We are unable to reactivate voucher codes that have been used already."

Anyone know what else I can do??

I'm being scammed… I didnt give out the code to anyone, so only 2 chances happened!

  1. Someone guess out the code by luck and used it

  2. Kogan sent out 2 same codes out to 2 different customer

UPDATED: SOLVED, Got a new code

  • You actually left your code in the comments a few weeks ago, but this was only brought to our attention around 30 minutes after you posted it (I replaced it with question marks when made aware of it).

      Haha that is pretty funny.

But if you weren't referring to the $10 code, ask to see where your gift card credit was applied. Ask to see the invoice the credit was applied to, and check if the billing/shipping details match your name. If it doesn't let them know, and compare it with your previous order history.

      • I did, the staff told me the items order and the name under that order which is not me, but the staff couldn't give out the shipping address and order number due to security

    • That's unfortunate. Good spotting.
He said he purchased one, so might not be the $10 voucher.

      • Oh yes true, and the free $10 code did expire a few days ago.

        Yep… not the $10 voucher, a $50 I purchased !

        and for the $10 code I posted, it's a **FAKE ONE :) **, I typed it randomly

Maybe ask them for a duplicate receipt of the order that it was applied to - at least you will know where and who it was that used it. In case it was someone you know. Just read the above comment that sucks that someone on here would be so low.

  • The email reply sounds like a robot reply, keep questioning them.

  • Kogan should be more helpful. Obviously you can prove to them that you purchased the code, and they know that it was used by someone else, and therefore it was used fraudulently. It is very likely that the person who used it gave their real details, and therefore they should be pursued by Kogan. If they have no interest in pursuing them, then they need to provide you with their details. The user has defrauded you, therefore they have given up their right to privacy.

    • Problem is i could give the voucher to a frined to use, sell it to some random and claim it was stolen.
Kogan have to be wary of these type of goings on. But if the voucher is registered and can be confirmed given to you, then they should supply an invoice of where it was used i would imagine.

    • except he didn't purchase it.

  • If you used a credit card raise it with your company?

  • Contact Kogan in writing with proof of purchase including the original code. Start a claim on your credit card.
