Hi all
Just seeking advice regarding a full transmission oil flush on a Falcon EL.
The car is about 15 years old but has done only 80000km. Tranny oil never changed. Ford did not even put a dip stick to check level and state. They reckon it does not need, but transmission mechanics reckon it needs a service every 20000km…and they are expensive. I do some towing, so I it may be time to do full flush and filter and I thought I can do it myself. Messy but not difficult…I think. It takes 16l of oil at $10/l so not cheap.
Anybody has done it or can advise if it is really needed?

Very true. Only tq95 is compatible. I actually asked a transmission mechanic for a quote on a full flush ($300) and I was going to get them to do it but then they told me they would use some other type of oil(she'be right mate!). That is when I decided to do it myself with Castrol tq95.
To be honest I didn't read the full description (as I'm not the one that has to do it), but here is a link to a DIY on the EL tranny!

I only sussed this out quickly as your 16l comment sounded way over the top!
Do it. Don't cheap out using Dex 3 but get the proper TQ95/95LE fluid.
