    1080P display, not 4k… Especially on a 65 inch screen…

    • Are there any 55-65 inch screens that are 4k around this price range?

      • +1

LGUB850T is a 55" 4K one, and I think they are selling it around $1670,-

      • +1

Sony 65" 4k was about $450 more if you had access to family and friends discount

I think this samsung is still to expensive for a 65" 1080p. If spending that much money might as well future proof and get 4k.

      • Not all UHD (4k) TV's have 3D….

    • +3

No 4k content, 1080p v 4k proven to not be distinguishable from conventional viewing distances (3m+).

4k is marketing hype, soon they'll need something else. Still, it sucked a lot in who paid the extortionate release prices. LCD / LED tech is still fundamentally flawed, forget resolution.

I have an LG 55" UHD TV (55UB950T) and it's terrific.
There are a lot of comments about no UHD content, which is true, but isn't the only consideration. I've been really happy with the image quality from watching free-to-air TV, youtube, and movies off a hard disk.
It may be that the marketing professionals have completely suckered me in, but not once have I watched anything on a friends Full HD TV (regardless of it's size) and gotten TV envy. Even to my untrained eyes, I can see more pixelation on their TV.
So for anyone considering buying a UHD TV, don't be put off by lack of content comments. The marketing states that the TV upscales the picture to a better quality and I completely believe it - images look better.

      • "1080p v 4k proven to not be distinguishable from conventional viewing distances (3m+)"

going to need a source on that

        • Plenty of knowledge on this topic on the web. Inform yourself or swallow the hype from profit hungry department store monkeys.

      • +1

Calm yo tits, just trying to spread crucial information here unlike you, making false claims.

      • 4 times the quality of 1080p is marketing hype?
If you don't think you will notice 4k on a 65 in TV, you need to go to specsavers.

  • doesnt look like many available…..best be quick if you like this one

  • how would this one stack up vs the 4K Sony KD65X8500B @ Binglee at the moment for an additional $540?

  • Melb city stock currently at -5. All gone.

  • All gone?
