ok i bought this TV because well, why not?
in what universe is a $225 tv not a good deal
anyway as i expected its the exact same firmware as aldis and JB hifi no name sets
the sound and DTV reception, remote is exactly the same you get from those other no name sets, ie. passable
1,920 x 1,080 performance is very good
http://imgur.com/F0w8UF1 - as it sits on the floor as i'm working out what to do with it
the 5 mins i had it on my laptop and xbox one was fine
what do i like is how slick it looks, very thin frame/bezel, very light overall and the cast metal legs are nice
it looks like a high end set and the no name on the bezel suits my tastes
there is no component which is a growing trend
also the hdmi sockets are a bit low rent and slightly hard to insert but otherwise
the 3 hdmi is plenty of choice for the modern ozbb shopaholic
row of input select volume buttons on the lower right inder the bezel but since you cant see them i dont know why anyone would use them as you're poking blind
bargain of the year even ahead of the two consoles i bought from dse
NEWSFLASH: THERE IS A HEADPHONE SOCKET AS WELL AS DUAL RCA STEREO OUT
so: great buying at $249 or $299 on sale, less so at $349
and now here's Tom with the weather.
