Both are pretty much same…
It now depends on yourself….I have LG G3 Phone and will most likely buy LG Tv as well. ;)

LG have really stepped up with their 2014 range and I'm really impressed with their webOS built into their TV's.
I've also narrowed my choices down to SONY and LG and its pretty much comes down to which is better priced.

Having said that, I think the Sony personally looks better but that will depend on your taste and that in itself would be the decider for me as their priced the same - the Sony is 100hz compared to the LG with 50hz if thats something you want to take into consideration.

I have checked the Sony model out this morning and the picture looks great. I have not checked the image quality of the LG so I can't comment on that. I have the 32" version of the Sony and I have no issues and the Smart OS on the Sony is fine.
