Masterfoods 175g Recipe Base $0.50 @ Coles Coburg [VIC]

Coles Coburg (Sydney Rd) are advertising Masterfoods recipe bases as "3 for $6", inferring they're $2.00 each but the fine print for an individual price is $0.50 each. They are scanning at the register as $0.50 each, no matter how many you buy (so the purchase of 3 won't increase the price).

This appears to be a pricing error, so will likely be store specific. I checked the Coles next door (next to Coburg Railway Station) and they're "3 for $6" or "1 for $2.19" there.

Plenty of sachets in stock, with long shelf life (Aug-Oct 2015), and I still have no idea why - of all the tickets in Coles - this one caught my eye. Apparently my OzB senses were tingling.
