Hi guys, I have dropped my nexus 7 and it has a hairline crack on the screen. It's barely noticeable, but the too half of the touch screen doesn't work at all and the bottom barely works. I looked at repairs in melbourne but they are all in excess of $100 and I only payed something like $180. I need a new nexus 7 or equivalent ( I use i for an APM ground station, so I need GPS (not A-GPS), a decent screen, and USB OTG for my 433mhz modem/radio. It can be windows 8.1 or android (iOS doesn't work). I would like to pay under $200 and would prefer a nexus 7. Any help would be great.

Resolution probably is too low for his preferences. (1280 x 800 vs 1920 x 1200)
I should have been more clear, I have one to sell, in top condition, $175. It's been flashed with the official French rom (kitkat) but is otherwise stock (and obviously it works in English also).

Have a look on eBay for a new digitizer. That's what you need, shouldn't cost you more than $50. Have a go at replacing it yourself, not that hard, have a look on Youtube for instructions.
I need a new screen and digitiser. When I've looked online, the overwhelming advice is to not repair it, because it is too hard.
I have a 2013 nexus 7 32gb (wifi only) that is collecting dust (bought it to play with Android and see what the fuss was about, decided I like my IOS devices more). Not used much at all and in excellent condition, but in your shoes I'd surely pay $50-$100 for the repair than $200 for a replacement?
How much would you be interested in for me taking that device off your hands.
Sorry bud I'll give OP chance to PM me first, I don't want to hijack the thread with my sale.
just don't take it for repair to the guy at Richmond Central on Burnley Street - no idea, give him a miss or waste your money.
