Xbox One Assassin's Creed Console $388 - Big W Boxing Day Catalogue

1150

Starting from Boxing Day and going until the 31st of December, Big W will have the Xbox One Assassin's Creed Bundle on Sale for $388, a saving of $110. The Console comes with download codes for AC IV: Black Flag and AC Unity, but this is NOT the version with Kinect.

I discovered this after wondering why we got so many of them in the other day.
As a side note, please don't ask stores to put one aside for you. We can't, and it's annoying as hell when people ask.

Edit:
By request I've uploaded entire catalogue

Yep, buy from the MS website direct… They will probably have a boxing day/new year clear out too and offer better value. Ask them to put one aside for you

  • Thats quite a deal - especially seeing as I missed out on the PS4 bundle last week. Sooo TEMPTING. any cahrewards with this?

    • I don't know, it probably won't be available online so I would assume not.

Big bargain if you only want the console. Personally think MS $499 deal is better with three new release games and xbox live included for approx $480 after cash back.

    • +4

I've uploaded the entire catalogue and edited the description to add a link. Sorry I couldn't get it up sooner, I had a really long work day.
I don't think the game sales are that impressive.

      • -1

Why don't you just use a link to the online catalogue.
This is the same catalogue isn't it?

        • +1

It was posted a week ago prior to catalogue being released.

        • @Where's_That_Cake:
          Oh okay, sorry for that.

"As a side note, please don't ask stores to put one aside for you. We can't, and it's annoying as hell when people ask."

I suspect that some people will say that this comment is rude, offensive, inappropriate and unprofessional.

    Thanks for saying it.

    Thanks for speaking your mind.

It's important for Employees or company representatives to state things from their perspective as it's not a one way street - it's not all about the customer.

Good for you dude. Please keep up this level of inappropriateness.

    • +1

      Say what now? lol

    • +3

he posted a good deal give him a break, stop being drastic drasticdave

    • +13

Well I did say "please" :)

Thanks though. I'm not an official representative, just an employee. And we have to deal with a lot of irate people who seem to forget that they're actually speaking to another Human Being when we refuse.

      • +1

Yep, I get it. I get the same at my work. "Customers" that expect me to be subordinate to them. Sorry, not this life time.

        • -1

Oh right, I missed the end of the OP. I thought that was some offbeat rant tbh, :p

        • Really? That sounds a bit arrogant to be honest? What do you mean? Give an example? What do you mean by Subordinate?
No one expects anyone to put up with unreasonable behaviour. But that goes on both sides. If you are in a position of customer service then the customer should expect reasonably courteous respectful responses to questions they may ask. No one wants to be fobbed off because "they"should know the answer.

        • @razorack999: True, to a degree, but unfortunately a lot of people dont like to read… so they miss the part where they've already been told and then play the the whole "i'm a victim, you've ruined my life" game.

        • "That sounds a bit arrogant to be honest? What do you mean? Give an example? What do you mean by Subordinate?"

To be honest, there's no excuse for you not using the word please.

When I say subordinate, I mean subordinate. Refer to dictionary.com.

Customers should expect to receive the same level of respect as they give. If they're being respectful, then great, if they're not, well then they're not in a position to demand respect back. Not, that is, unless the customer service provider is expected to be subordinate.

The customers I deal with aren't actually customers. They think they are, and they think that I'm there to cater to them. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

And hey, instead of just insulting my comments with the overly vague term "arrogant" - why don't you show us some courtesy by explaining what you're taking issue with - and how what i've said is in any way arrogant. Or, you know, just carry on bandying out baseless insults.

      • I look after the small appliance section every day and I always get customers that tell me off for leaving the display on the shelf when the item isn't in stock.

        Customers annoy me

        • Yeah I worked in retail and was the same until I left it then I understood the frustration :)

        • any boxing day deals for the new 3ds xl

        • Nice customers are nice. Annoying customers are annoying.

There's nothing wrong with be annoyed by annoying customers. If only the rest of the world could wake up to that fact.

        • Are you taking the piss?

    • +1

no need for that, I just buy now and claim the difference on my 28 degree card next year.

    • Yeah getting annoyed at customers asking a question - that's a great way to go about providing customer service. You have got to expect some people will ask out of ignorance and some will ask just to try it on.

…or should I ask your company "as an aside please don't advertise with misleading pretentious ads that have almost nothing to do with the product and have people bouncing around looking happy to rubbish music"?

      Realism!

      • More like exaggeration.

I dont remember the last time an ad in a retail chain 'confused me' if I actually took the time to read it correctly. The problem is people glance at things and then misinterpret the words. How is it the company's fault that person cant read?

And when was the last time you saw someone "bouncing around looking happy to rubbish music" in retail? Usually they're just walking around trying to avoid an argument with some loser with nothing better to do than argue over a 10c overcharge.

        • I know it's a quaint and outdated notion, but it's called customer service - helping the customer - not customer self service.

Every ad on the TV or pathetically voiced radio ad is full of people "bouncing around looking happy to rubbish music".

If you're walking around in retail "trying to avoid an argument with some loser with nothing better to do" you don't belong in retail. THIS attitude right here is why people are shopping online and retail is dying.

Can't top the $79 Xbox 360 bundle last Boxing Day. One of the best boxing day deals on Ozbargain.

    • Yeah that's pretty incredible.

      • Can't believe it's been a year I've had mine and it doesn't feel outdated at all. Good selection of games and the graphics are still reasonable. Games are dirt cheap as well, find quality titles all the time for $10 in the bargain bin. Only bad thing is online the demographic is skewed due to alot people upgrading.

        • Yeah I was dead set on sticking with the PS3 for a few more years, but then that DSE deal was just too good.

        • If you calculate the entertainment cost per $ it's pretty cheap either way. I'll be looking to get one of the current gen consoles in the future when I feel impulsive :)

        • Watch out for that impulse. At these prices, and with these bundles it's getting pretty tempting. I nearly bought the Vita the other day, and I can see that before long I will, even if I never get round to playing it.

I have to stop buying these games and spending my time and money on other things. Well, maybe next decade.

    • Gee you were lucky with that one. I just sold my ancienf non hdmi xbox 360 on gumtree a few weeks ago for $100. It sold in a few hours. Was pretty happy about that.

  • Wow $388. What a bargain.

    I can't believe I got a PS4 for $409 including 3 games, so cool.

Yet the PS3 is still sold for $400 or so.

    What's up with that.

Are any of the PS4 games at the $30 ish mark yet? I'm keen to get Killzone, or Wolfenstein, or any good FPS but I don't really want to spend $60 or so when they'll be half that cost in a few months.

    • You can pick up preowned Killzone, Watch Dogs, and AC:Black Flag for just under $30 at EB Games at the moment. About as cheap as they get at the moment though. Most new games are still hovering around $49.95 RRP but can be found a little cheaper if you hold out for a bargain.

      • Yeah.

Amazon might be the way to go. They had Destiny PS4 for $30 just yesterday I think, but you have to add just over $10 postage. I think there are also DLC issues if you use an Australian PSN account - could be wrong.

        • Yes. You buy US games you need to use US DLC.

        • But otherwise you're all good, right?

    • +1

I bought Infamous Second Son for $28 used at EB yesterday.

    • What? you got a PS4 with games for $409?!! when?!!

    • Got watchdogs, fifa14 and killzone for 30$ posted if you want.

    • Gumtree mate. Can't guarantee you will get the top quality games for $30, but it will be cheaper than EB etc the bulk of the time.

Also consider buying a better used game for $30-$50 and then advertising a swap on Gumtree for another quality title after you finish the first. I did this multiple times after paying $35 for BioShock Infinite; I play maybe 10 hours a week and, through swaps, got about a years worth of gaming for the initial $35 outlay.

  • I was hoping for a sale with the Kinect for Skype purposes. Anyone used Skype with Xbox?

  • This was $399 weeks ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/169861. I'd expect better deals are yet to come.

  • +1

Please can you post the other pages of the catalogue … that would be great

    • +5

Added a link in the description, forgive the poor quality.

      • Thanks mate really appreciate it

  • +3

The cost of the New Generation consoles is unbelievably cheap.

I mean a 500gb PS3 Super Slim cost $369 and you can get an xbox one for $388.

    Bargain.

Makes you wonder why anybody would go for one of the oldies (aside from free online from PS3)

  • any boxing day deals for the new 3dsxl

    • Not in this catalogue.

  • -2

Hey guys first ever post, should I buy a ps4 today for 599 with 5 games or should I wait for boxing day its my first year in oz so I've never been here for boxing day sales. Are they good? Where's the best place for them

    • +1

Wait till Target, kmart, jbhifi post xmas catalogues are out, and yes most of the time there some great deals, think black friday

  • +2

Anyone link me to the Big W Boxing Day Cateloge please

  • Thank you for the link to the catalogue. I'm happy I didn't find anything in it I wanted to buy. Good reason to avoid the sales and keep on minimalizing. That means I can spend boxing day at home relaxing instead. I still like looking at catalogues though.

  • not a fan of digital download, you can resell it

  • Why highlight this deal when it's the same price at Harvey Norman http://www.harveynorman.com.au/xbox-one-console-assassin-s-c…?

Save a further $30 or $50 @ HN if you make the purchase on your registered AMEX card

    • For those without the AMEX offer(s) this deal allows some further 5.0-7.5% discount if we can pay with Woolies eGift cards.

That's why I'm looking at this particular one anyway.

      • +2

There are far better deals than this that should be highlighted, for example the various TV deals where the savings are substantial greater. Similar xbox deals have come and gone.

        • Which TV should I buy??? All the deals are so good it's hard to pick 1???

        • +2

          @Davo93:
I think the 48 inch from TGG is a good one. Check it out
