It's free, but they get all your contacts for spamming.

If you go to www.google.com/contacts they have some tools there to clean up contacts.

  How? There is no form of internet access in the permissions list, nor can it send SMS messages nor email.
  
  It's actually pretty rare to find an app that doesn't want "full internet access" permission, even for the most trivial of apps. This is such an app, so I'll give it a plus.
