Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here and I'm in need of help, so I apologise if I haven't met any guidelines and what not. So my mum bought an S5 last week from the Good Guys and today, after an argument with my dad (they haven't had an argument this intense for over 10 years), took the new phone and smashed it on the floor, twice. So now the phone screen is cracked like crazy, but it still turns on. Its just that the screen doesn't show anything and touch screen does not work.
Basically, what I'm asking for is if anyone knows a good phone repair shop for the S5 that would repair it the cheapest. It would would be of great help. I am situated in Melbourne and a repair shop in the western suburbs would be great. Anywhere else is fine too. Thanks everyone for your time :)
Samsung Galaxy S5 Repairs in Melbourne

Mkc repairs?
Edit: You could try the new samsung store in Melbourne Central and see if they can help. I would highly highly recommend doing this as it will definitely be repaired properly….
If he is going to take it to Samsung store, why not the Good Guys? I had my phone broken, not Samsung but Nokia, and the store I bought it from took it from there. It basically got sent to one of the Nokia's people and they fixed it for me.
I am not too sure how my experience translate to this one, but it's worth a try.
No particular reason but they might have on the spot replacements or repair like apple stores. If he took it to the good guys they would send it off for him to Samsung. Unless he lives a long way from the CBD it could save weeks of having no phone ?
In your case there was no Nokia shop so therefore you took it back to where you bought it. In this case he can go straight to the manufacturer store and possibly have it swapped out or repaired with GENUINE parts on the spot.(Note I have no idea if they do this. I just know they are trying to compete with the apple store by having a tech bar etc )
The only reason I suggest this is because there is one in Highpoint and in Melbourne Central. If the OP's dad had a LG or sony I would say go back to The Good Guys.
True, true. I may have neglected the fact that there might be a Samsung service centre within the driving distance or the fact that some Samsung stores might have service centre attached to it.
You can check the mobile essentials, they are do the really good jobs. Try their website to find the shop close to you, www.mobileessentials.com.au.
Take it to the Good Guys? They probably wouldn't do it under warranty but at least you will not void the warranty afterwards? Also, I am not too certain about this, but I vaguely remember how some people back in my country talked about how you need special equipments for fixing S5 because of the waterproof nature, I'd probably check up with someone else on this though.
