Fitbit Flex $79 at DickSmith with Code

261
Wrapped20

As the title says, the Fitbit flex is $79 click and collect at Dicksmith using code 'wrapped20'.

I'm not sure how much shipping is if you decide to use this option.

The garmin vivofit is currently on sale for $93 (without code). You need to spend minimum $99 to use the code.

Cheers

New model CHARGE just came out for $142 http://search.dicksmith.com.au/search#w=fitbit%20charge
(has a screen and tells you how many stairs climbed and caller ID)

More models coming out in early 2015 with built in heart rate monitors and GPS, apparently going for around $180+, so hold back if you wish to get those extra features, (with extra features they are definitely more bulky, flex is slim and more discreet).

    • the new model looks nice but its 300
      price on the top

      http://www.fitbit.com/au/surge

      • The surge is a different model. The one piznarski is refering to is the Fitbit Charge HD.

        • yeah was referring in the second one he was talking about with heart rate and GPS, but its more around 300 than 180+

        • @djones145: Fitbit are releasing a new model of the Fitbit Charge called the Fitbit Charge HD in early 2015 which has GPS and heart rate monitoring. It is priced at approximately $170 or $180.

You're talking about a different model completely. This has nothing to do with the Fitbit Surge…

would ppl prefer this or smart watch?

seems like smart watch will have more apps..
then these devices won't as good no more

    • monochrome screen, no thanks

  • Code isn't working for me.

Coupon code "Wrapped20" is not valid.

    Excludes fitness products.

I LOVE my fitbit flex and have worn it for nearly two years… upgrading to the Surge in Jan when that is released (RRP $299) Fitbit is great for me as it integrates with my Aria scales and my iphone and all my fitness apps :) People who reckon they suck either are happy with a different brand or dont use it the way people like myself do.

I dunno what happened for the guys above that it worked for them…

      • +1

They must have got in early before they locked out those items.

  • Code didn't work for me either.

  • Just ring their call centre. They will issue you with a refund.

pretty expensive for a wrist band…

  • The code was working when originally posted. I noted that the exclusion list had fitness products so it was only a matter of time before DS realised the mistake and plugged that hole.

  • Not to put anyone off buying one, but i've had nothing but issues with mine.

Had for only 2 months now, and the battery doesnt last more than a few hours. It's a common problem with them, and even though i'm currently working with FitBit to get a replacement, it's pretty poor quality control. Just bear this in mind before purchasing - it might be worth spending the extra $$$ for the FitBit Charge.

    • Same, I got one free from the missus as she works for HN and they sponsored the 7 bridges walk. They gave her a demo model, doesn't last for more than 6-8 hours.

Not sure if fitbit will do anything to replace it as it was given to us for free but I'll try my luck anyway by calling them.

      • I've had two. One I lost. Both have been fault free.

Why bother if you can get a Pebble for around the same price?

    • Because a Pebble doesn't do what this does?

  • Feeling a bit of buyers remorse now… Did a quick Google for reviews and it seemed decent. Wonder if Dick will accept a return..

    • Happy to buy it off you if you want to sell.
      PM me.

      • PM'd

Still wondering how come Xiaomi sells its band for $79 RMB still making profit…..

I bought a XiaoMi Band, battery last for more than 10 days with 3 daily alarm set :-)

  • +1

I have one and never use it. think they are very overpriced and don't really understand the point of them, can't phones track steps thee days?

    • yeap but u need to put phone in the pocket etc..

if u go for walk u want to carry as little as possible..

Still I think smart watch would be better
you can see the steps, calories immediately on the watch..
whereas this would require you to keep getting your phone…

      • guess its a toss up between price v functionality vs weight

for me, I wanted something simple to count steps, but mainly to buzz when I got a call or message (I could never feel the vibrate in my pants)
I got a sony fitness band, was cheap 60 bucks does the job, also I don't like watches

friend wants a heart beat monitor, screen, and more features, he's looking at the new fitbit

so really depends on what u want it for and price

also the sony band can last 4-5 days with charging

  • I use my XiaoMi Band everyday, it can unlock your password protected screen without key in passcode, also it vibrates when incoming calls not answered within(x seconds, set by the user), it also tracks your activities etc etc, I love it!

    • What band is this and where did you purchase it?

    • I am pretty sure it only unlocks the Xiaomi smartphones!
It is pretty cheap for the value it provides though.
