Unrelated to Sheridan brand. Its high time government made origin (manufacturer and country) be displayed in advertisements. [Australian brands and products are diluted to insignificance yet the only ones that are productive and provide skills.] Not that Pacific Brands didn't sell out on Sheridan too.

12 month structural warranty for your peace of mind.

all products sold in Australia have minimum 12 months warranty - that's the law, filtering out utter crap. It's "red tape" that Liberals haven't addressed yet.

    • all products sold in Australia have minimum 12 months warranty - that's the law

      No they don't.

        ACCC - Consumer guarantees:
Products must be of acceptable quality, that is:
        - safe, lasting, with no faults
        - look acceptable
        - do all the things someone would normally expect them to do.

So, which (non-consumable) products warrantied for less than 12 months would be considered safe, lasting and performing as expected?

You said ALL products sold in this country have a minimum 12 months warranty. Where is the link or info that refers to the minimum 12 months warranty for ALL products?

And since you mentioned it's the "law", please link directly to the legislation.

Do your own homework. Start by googling "The ACL is administered and enforced jointly by the ACCC…".

        • @AlexF: Still waiting for your link. Just as I thought, you can't provide one. Just another one that doesn't understand the actual legislation but likes to throw the "law" term around.

          1. minimum 12 months warranty comes from Apple's concession threatened with ACL enforcement.
          2. law - see "L" in ACL.

        • @AlexF: How is that relevant to ALL other products sold in this country?

          Still waiting for the link.

        • -1

How is that relevant to ALL other products sold in this country?

ACCC threat to legally enforce ACL's statutory warranty beyond Apple's (up to) 12 months set a precedent.

          Still waiting for the link.

          who mentioned link?

        • @AlexF:

ACCC threat to legally enforce ACL's statutory warranty beyond Apple's (up to) 12 months set a precedent.

It might have set a precedent for mobile phones, but it never set a minimum 12 month warranty on every type of product sold in Australia.

          who mentioned link?

I did. Waiting for your link to legislation (aka the "law") stating minimum 12 month warranty on every product that gets sold in Australia.
