  A fantastic game at a fantastic price. It's also hard as nails, but that's half the fun.

  Mods can make it easily look at least five years newer. When I played earlier this year, I found a great mod pack that included loads in one hit, but sadly the page it was on seems to have been taken down.

        The site really does seem to be unreliable - possibly because so many people bought the game today!

  I played and enjoyed this game many years ago. It is one of the wonderful franchises created by the EA murdered Origin (the game developers, not EA's client).

  Thanks for the heads up on this one, and also the many mod links. I'm no graphics whore, but I find it hard these days to look at or play a lot of the stuff I used to spend incredible amounts of time on back in the day.

  Had always been interested in this since it has coop. Does coop still work though, especially with all the mods?

  Honestly I went back to this game about 10 years ago and it was already way, way too old … graphics were just too ancient and that matters in horror/rpg style games for me.

    Same. I felt likewise after I went back to Deus Ex a few years ago. It was a breath of fresh air when it first came out but nowadays it looks and plays pretty roughly compared to the Bioshocks et al…

    it's the single player game, except you play through it with someone else… simple as that really!
