If you have the $20 Uber credits I'd say that would be a winner.
Assuming your Hotel is in Brisbane, train.

You can buy a gocard (there is one you can get as a visitor) and you save 30% off buying a paper ticket from a machine.Assuming your Hotel is on the Sunshine Coast, I'd train as fair as possible and then take a bus, you can use translink's journey planner.
Taxi would be extremely expensive for the above.

Uber is great. Ignore the media hype about passengers getting raped. That's just a common thing in India and not an indication of Uber.
It's actually safer and better and faster and cheaper than taxis.

Stay at the Gold Coast Airport Motel, its only half a k from the Airport.
Save your money, don't bother about travelling around.
The Motel has Wi-Fi, you can sharpen your KEYBOARD SKILLS
