Gift Cards at BP

Hi, I just tried to buy a gift card in South Perth BP (WA).
Was told I can't buy one on a credit card?

note I only tried to buy gift card only…. do you need to buy fuel?? or are you told you have to split the bill???

I'd heard of no gift card with gift card… but not with Credit Card???

Hmm interesting. News to me.

Try another outlet, they're probably just being trying to get as many transactions done with cash. Like some food places have no EFTPOS and are cash only. Dodgy.

They have to put it through as a cash advance.

There is some weird cc company rule where they cannot process transactions involving gift cards as a normal purchase.

I have bought a BP gift card from BP at great western Hwy near parra using my Amex. Didnt need to do it this time as my car needed $50 of fuel

Thanks all… yes I guess if I put through with fuel shouldnt be a drama…. fingers crossed.
What we do for an extra $10… eg pay extra for petrol.. hahaha…
will try I guess before the end of year.
