So, we got a Pocket WiFi, after reading, in an OzB post, that this rebadged Huawei device is easily unlocked.
I showed it to a VF sales guy, who told me that - as it's an obsolete unit - it's just a matter of going to VF's website, entering the unit's IMEI number, getting back an unlock code & entering that into the device.
Is he right? Has anyone unlocked a Pocket WiFi R207?
So far, searches of VF's site have returned nil. :-(
Entered the IMEI from my Woolworths purchased R207 & on the Vodafone unlocking sit band got a Handset Unlock - Handset IMEI Not Found request form.
Fill this out and Voda will contact you with a unlock code for most cases to you (had a Samsung unlocked for free via this process for example).
Mine was unlocked-using with a Telstra SIM OK once it's APN is added.
Vodafone sent me a text saying this device is not locked to them and is unlocked.
