Hey everyone, my Samsung 8 Series 55inch FHD died last week, Harvey Norman are offering $3000 store credit or a Samsung 55inch Series 9 UHD curved as a replacement.
We mainly use it for gaming (PS4) and watching downloaded TV shows or movies.
Would love to know if anyone has bought a UHD TV lately and what your experiences have been like, mainly;
- What SD content looks like.
- Is there any gaming lag.
- Does it stream media via DLNA.
- Any noticeable motion problems.
- Price.
Also would a Sony TV have problems with downloaded content like the Cinavia on PS3 did.

If you like the idea of curved or UHD the 65" Curved Series 7 is just under $3k on Harvey's website.
I think all branded TVs are good enough these days that size is the #1 thing you should care about, so take the extra 10". Compare them side by side at the shop with the same setting (important, the more expensive tvs have more favourable settings), I'd be impressed if you can tell the difference between the series 7 vs 9 in terms of PQ.
