Our family is small, and Christmas is always a challenge, we live south of Sydney and Nanna lives North of Sydney, in past we have traveled to her house in Gosford and spent the day, but really it is getting harder to entertain our small group. Just wonder what others with small families do?

Pissweak World?
I'd look at restaurants and what they offer by way of Christmas lunch - but all the best ones will be booked out by now. It's nice to join in with the festivities with everyone, we've done it a couple of years in a past and always enjoyed it. Then just chill out with some drinks and nibbles at the beach or a nice park and enjoy watching all the kids on their new toys and everyone enjoying themselves. It's actually a nice day to be out and about as everyone is happy and in a festive mood.
Get on a train each and meet up somewhere pleasant in the middle.
Your house, pick up nana on xmas eve and get out some christmas movies and board games. Youre welcome.
Why not enjoy an outdoor picnic in National park with walks/running water and maybe a waterfall? Take a special picnic lunch and a chair for nana.
