Settlement after Selling Shares

I recently just sold some shares and the settlement date is 11/12/14, how long does it initially take before showing up in my bank account? Cheers.

    so settlement date is when my monies will be in my account or when they are deposited from computer shares?

      In your broker account.. I use etrade and money would be available immediately to use with ANZ linked account

    Money will appear in your broker account T+3, you might then need to transfer to your bank, which can take a bit of time.

    They're just employee shares, they are linked to my bank account, I did ask one of the staff and was told If I sold them on 2 dec it would be in my bank account by 11th, and today I did reeiev the paper work of confirmation which stated settlement was 11/12/14 sale date 2/12/14, it's done via commuter share from westfarmers shares.
