Recent AMEX Bank Issued - Spend $50 Three Times at Dan Murphy's and Get One $50 Credit

Hi Guys - not sure if this should go here - but wondering if others have had the same problem and gave up after the initial 'no'. Recently I registered my AMEX card for the AMEX Bank Issued - Spend $50 Three Times at Dan Murphy's and Get One $50 Credit deal - I did not receive my $50 credit so I contacted AMEX. Initially they said that I was not eligible as I had used PayPal. However I pointed out that they had not made it clear that this was not allowed (as someone else pointed out the T's & C's for AMEX issued and bank issued cards were different). The long and short of it is I have received an email advising that as "PayPal" was not clearly stated, they would issue me with the $50 credit. Just thought this might help others.

    I have spent 3 times and not gotten the credit. These were over the counter transactions.

      E. Statement Credits

      Statement credits will be credited to your Registered Card account and are not redeemable for cash or other payment form. Credits may take up to 8 weeks to issue but generally, they should be credited within 5 business days upon confirmation by the merchant of the Eligible Transaction. American Express may be unable to apply the statement credit to your Card Account if it has been suspended or cancelled prior to the statement credit being issued. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned or cancelled.

      Have you received the statement credit now? I also have not received it spent my last lot of transactions today. ANZ bank issued.

      Usually I receive and email confirmation immediately following a qualifying spend.

    had spent $50 3 times, received email notification that i will received my cash back. cash back shown 2 days ago.

    this deal has been published last month on ozbargain…

    Spent mine online via click and collect. Got the $50 a few days after the third transaction.

    bought 3 gift cards in separate transactions at one checkout counter (lady was kinda enough to accede to my request). Got a push email notification even before stepping out of DM that I have successfully receive credit.
    sold all 3 next day for $140. $40 instant profit.
