Transfer $150 from Australia to UK

Hi,

I bank with People's Choice Credit Union and I need to transfer the equivalent of 72GBP. A one time transactions costs $35! Ridiculous in my opinion. I haven't purchased anything, the one time only transfer is required to pay for a survey.

    A relie in the UK asked me the same a couple of weeks ago. After some research Transferwise appeared to be the cheapest.

    Citibank is free and good exchange rates. Although only worth setting up an account if you're going to transfer multiple times.

      Setting up an account is free so I'd say as long as you've got a couple of weeks (allowing up to a week to open the account and up to another week for the transfer) to spare, Citibank is a good option.
