My young son, who is used to my ipad mini, wants an android tablet of his own which he will mostly use for making stop motion videos and watching youtube, games etc. I'm hoping to get something around $250 if possible. I'd like something decent as we would all use it at times, not something cheap and crappy. Ta.

Is it just me or are they hard to find?
Look at the Nexus 7? Generally regarded as one of the best-bang-for-buck tablets on Ozbargain.
I should also add — the camera modules manufacturers put on tablets tend to be fairly unremarkable. I can't think of a good reason why anyone would use a tablet for professional shots — neither can hardware designers — do not expect too much out of a $250 dollar tablet when it comes to low light or macro shots.
