Looking at getting a new headset as my current ones (Logitech G35) broke. Currently looking at either getting the Logitech G430 or Corsair 1400, and I've read on some forum sites that the G430 has better sound. Anyone use either of these headsets or can recommend me one? Cheers.
For sub $100 headphones have a look at the Plantronics Gamecom 780. The Logitech G430 is a solid choice for its price, but cannot recommend Corsair's after having mine break within a years use. Happy hunting!
I have the Logitech G430, solid construction, good sound, comfortable on my head for a long period- which can be hard for me to find because I wear glasses, but never had a problem with these.
I have the logitech 430's and they are great. Had them about a year now and the blue vinyl covering on the ear pieces is cracking around the outside but the fabric that sits on the ears is fine other than being noticeably dirty.
I use them for hours on end and don't get hot in them as I have with leather/PU over ear headphones.
I've tried on the Plantronics 780's and didn't like the feel of them, too tight and didn't like the material.
I'd go for a Turtle Beach, costs a bit more (I got mine for $150 second hand) but well worth the extra. Sound quality is excellent and is fully customisable which can be useful for some games, eg picking up footsteps in bo2.
