I'd really like to just try and find another same model used, but it's very old. I have still have a new unused cartridge. It's a laser very basic as I print very little.
The techno said it was the printer, but WHY did it die….
Anyone got any suggestions for a replacement on win8.1?
Canon LBP 3000.
Just BandW. I'll try a differnt cable as not sure if the techno tried that. My spare cartridge was quite expensive.

thanks, ziplink has one. I think I paid $29 originally, theirs if $169 for a discontinued printer. Without signing up etc, do you know off hand if their reputation is good?
Just tested the original cable, and it's fine so I have to accept it's the printer that's carked.
Why did it die? Could be several things.. Make model??
What do you print with it? Just B&W? If its very old then new B&W laser printers are dirt cheap, just treat yourself to a new one.
