Cheapest Internet plan

Hi all,

My Exetel plan is running out soon. I am currently paying $39.99 including phone line rental. Is this still the cheapest available Internet plan?
Would the Exetel contract be extended automatically if I don't do anything?

    How much data do you need and what sort of connection…ADSL 2+?

    What does your contract say? That's what you should read instead of asking. That you go to a month to month basis? If so you don't have to do anything. However if your original plan no longer exists, they may either grandfather you or tell you to change to an existing plan or leave. I'm with a grandfathered iiNet (actually Netspace) that is no longer offered. It's $10 less than their current offering but the data allowance is lower though plenty for me. But that's probably because iiNet isn't fussed about it. I've heard that Exetel is more proactive in shedding customers they're not interested in.

    The exetel contracts we have had revert to month to month when the initial period ends, you can leave any time.

    Thanks for the comments. I am on a 100GB ADSL2+ plan which is perfect for me. Month to month would be perfect.
