With its most inspired creations yet, Invicta demonstrates its technical and design prowess, offering timepieces of style for extreme value.

"We have long held firm to the belief that supremely crafted timepieces can be offered for extremely modest sums. It is the founding principle of our flagship and the radical notion that still drives us today. By being true to our convictions, we will continue to turn the balance of power, and deliver true Swiss luxury to anyone who desires it. Let all those who possess our timepieces and pass through our doors witness the quality, value and care in every piece we create, and the spirit of never-ending possibilities in everything we do."

These are the words that greet visitors and motivate team members inside the Invicta Watch Group's new worldwide headquarters. Emblazoned in stainless steel, it has been the Invicta message since Day One.

With each new timepiece, the company sends up a flare for those looking to be defined not by how much they spend, but how wisely they spend. With its strong collections, the gutsy Swiss brand is guaranteed to keep attracting followers.

Invicta is notorious for making the RRP of their watches huge and having an almost permanent sale on them, so buyer beware. These won't impress anyone who knows much about watches but if you like the looks then go for it. Quality is low and the one good model they make doesn't ship to australia for some reason.

    • ^can confirm, they sell these on cruise ships and say 'sale' and 'tax free'. searched up on ebay for prices, and exactly the same as sale price they put on.

Invicta is very much a "supermarket" low quality range watch with greater pretentions(as per the description above). They have outrageous RRP's for what they are, and are always discounted by 100 and even 1000's of $. The description above might lead you to believe they all are Swiss Made, very, very few in the range can lay claim to this ,most in this sale are Chinese made. If you are thinking of buying do some research and just be aware of what you are getting for your money! Warranty repair options may also be an issue in Australia.

  • thanks for the info guys, just wondering why they have such good reviews in Amazon though

    • Honestly, they are a decently put together for the price you pay and for your average lay person the designs can be appealing.

The WIS-type folk often value the worth of watches on a very different set of criterion than your average joe, who just wants a decently constructed watch.

I've bought two Invicta's for relatives and they've both been hassle free and both love them. This has been after two or so years.

Personally though, they can't compete with any watch in their quoted RRPs though. Value the watch based on its sale price. You'll get what you pay for at $80-120, maybe even up to $200, but they are not worth the deceptive RRPs.

Overall, you'd be better off with a Seiko or Citizen. But if the styles of those brands don't appeal to you, then fair game.

  • I would avoid these cheap watches, case in point:

    Invicta Men's 12565X Pro Diver

    Amazon review…

I really liked this watch. It works very well and looks great. I used it every day for about 6 month. I dive at pretty mild depths occasionally and it worked fine. Recently though, I noticed condensation under the glass face. This leads me to believe that water is entering the watch. This should not be happening given that I am diving at about 40 ft and the watch is rated to 200m. Still not the end of the world, but just recently I went to adjust the date and the crown pulled right out. It had completely corroded and disconnected from the mechanism that turns the dials. I was really disappointed. I will now attempt to see if Invicta will honor their 1 year warranty. I hate to say it, but this may not be the 'Pro Diver' watch that Invicta claims it is.

    • They make lots of dive-style watches, but I would never dive with one. I posted above about other general quality control though based on my own experiences if you're interested.

  • Yeah the other day i bought the Invicta Men's 1111 Corduba Black Dial for $44.99 USD + delivery from Amazon. This one has Swiss quartz movement parts.

I've previously had an Invicta Pro divers watch for nearly 2 years and it's still going fine. Although i have never dived with it just been out in the rain a few times with it.

It's not just Invicta though it's also Swiss Legend, Akribos XXIV, Stuhrling Original, August Steiner those brands are also currently having big sales on Amazon. So you have a choice of those brands too instead of only Invicta.

Personally i've bought a few Invicta, Swiss Legend, Akribos XXIV and Stuhrling Original watches from Amazon in the past week or so going amazingly cheap. Going to have a bit of a collection of wrist watches. If they're going for about $50 each why not. Things are cheap from America probably because their pay packets are so crap house.

I mean $50 in Australia doesn't get much of a wrist watch.

    • If they're going for about $50 each why not.

$50 is a lot of money for some.

    • I'd rather take all that watch money and consolidate it into something more quality and desirable.

      • It's about bang for the buck for the quality.

I got my new Swiss Legend, Akribos XXIV and Stuhrling Original watches from Amazon yesterday and they are high quality watches way better than the watches you get for $50 in Australia. Still waiting on my Invicta Corduba watch but i'm sure it will be a high quality watch too for the price. Part of the reason why these watches are always slashed in price because most of the the American population with their low pay packets can't afford to pay hundreds of dollars for a watch at full price so the US retailers are forced to slash prices. You can bet if these watches were sold at Australian B&M retailers they would be a heck of a lot more than $50.
