Absolutely. You are correct. I don't know who neged your comment, but they obviously have never visited Japan. It is changing, more and more larger businesses are accepting Cards, however the Japanese customers are still mostly using cash.

That was not the point. So do Japanese supermarkets, convenience stores, etc. I think the commenters point was that most Japanese still use cash most of the time.
I receive the US emails and their choices are so much more interesting than the Aus ones. I recently visited the HKG store about 5 floors of interesting and very reasonably priced things. When we can get free international shipping, the US site is the one to look at.
