If you have the moto360 and are happy with it, you probably don't need the Pebble. But, hey, this is ozBargain, logic doesn't always prevail :-)

      • The moto hasn't arrived yet, tgg say it'll take 2wks to deliver. I could cancel the order and just get this instead..still undecided

I want one. I want one not. I want one. I want one not. I want one. I want one not. I want one. I want one not. I want one. I want one not. I want one. I want one not. I want one. I want one not. I want one. I want one not. I…am closing my laptop

At this price the Pebble is great value. I think it is hard to explain the value of the Pebble - most people have to use it to realise its benefits. Personally I'm turned off the Android Wear watches compared to Pebble (I'm an Android developer) for practical reasons - poor battery life, outdoor visibility, waterproofing, Google Voice Actions just don't work well for Aussies. I'm sure I'll be wearing Android Wear in a couple of years, but not yet.

@2real4u: lol. happen often on ozB?

        • @norkle: damn you've near convinced me..how is the pebble for fitness tracking on android if I may ask?

        • @2real4u: Others may be able to answer that better than me. But I do know if its fitness and sport, the pebble excels due to its long battery life, easy to read screen, the availability of apps that are integrated. In particular for water sports it excels as its absolutely SEALED - the screen even works better in the water than in daylight. The Sony Android Wear looks interesting for its ability to live away from a phone, but I think its early days and there may be compromises.

Lets face it, the Pebble is so cheap, but it now and plan on discarding it in a year or two once (if) Android Wear really leaps forward.

  • I'm interested in the comparison too! Anyone can compare this with the fitbit?

  • Missed the weekend code santa20………….Or2

WTF it doesn't work for me!

    • -1

      Interestingly…it doesn't work coz i'm logged in

But if log out, it works

      WHY?

  • black sold out i think - page gone , red still available (if you not log in - code work)

  • these things are so ugly. i'm interested in the tech but i'm not buying one until they make a nice looking one.

    • I always they were ugly too. But since I've had one, I've been surprised by the number of people who have seen mine and said how cool it was. Go figure.

  • Thanks OP, bought 2 at this price. Bought the Kickstarter for $165, best money I've ever spent on a watch. One tip though - be prepared for unexpected band failure (or change the band before that happens).

    • be prepared for unexpected band failure

Well, at least it won't be unexpected now….

Thanks OP, bought 2 at this price

      You now have 3?

      • yup, strapped on in 3 places.

  • What apps do you guys download?

Well, there's a lot for whatever activity you may pursue: cycling, running, fitness etc.

But generally I like Battery Lifetime and Phone Finder as general purpose.
