  • That's pretty good. US prices are much cheaper usually but fussing with sizes / returns sucks.

Why not get these bargain reduced to clear at $250 pre spilt stained jeans

    Umma yeah…..

    • They had one style of 501s that were ripped in about five places & heavily bleached, normally priced at $199.95. After three trips through the washing machine they would be worse than rags. I think this is them:

        Don't buy torn clothes.

    • +4

      Those are hideous

  • +2

Myer is the best place for Levi jeans when discounted.

You get the proper high quality version of them, not the crap version you get from Costco who sell the cheappee Walmart type version.

Us middle aged white guys will not be seen in anything other then Levi's, runners and a t-shirt.

      • +1

They are the fakes and poor quality ones I was talking about.

Why buy that rubbish when for $10 more you get the real deal quality Levi's from Myer?

        • @LaProblematique:

Go to Myer, look at the Levi 501s. The quality of the cloth and stitching in the pants. They are old school quality like they used to make. I buy them in the dark indigo, they will last you a decade. Not like the excessively stonewashed rubbish you see everywhere now.

Yes I am a older guy, I like classic quality in my jeans.

Yours were fakes or Costco/Walmart versions.

        • @SamR:

I've had a pair of 501's for about 20 years. Pity about the button-up fly though otherwise I'd wear them more. Might check out the sale anyway as I just ripped a hole in my 514's 2 days ago. :)

try on a pair to gauge your size and run home to place an order on amazon.. 501's can be had for ~$40.. I've seen them for as low as $30, less if you stumble on a sale

    • -7

sorry, but I always find those who goes into retailers big or small, to use their services and run home to save a few bucks, pretty selfish and disgusting behaviour. If u want to buy online just buy it, and if u get the size wrong suck it up as the cost of online shopping.

Maybe some karma and ur jeans are shipping alongside some leaking fluids and u end up with stained Levis. :-)

      • +1

That's their problem. Don't take pity on these giga corporations.

      • +1

meh.. when a savvy shopper saves a dollar he denies a wealthy individual from hoarding his wealth. In turn, that dollar is more likely to enter back into the system. Top-down economics(if that's what you're advocating) has NEVER been proven to work.

And by the way you're on a bargain website. Mod: Edited

        • -1

What? What economic school taught you wealthy individuals hoard their wealth and don't spend?
What economic school taught you savvy shoppers will push more dollars into the economy than non savvy shoppers?

        • +3

@cloudy: I'm going to paint you two scenarios. One has Gerry Harvey making 20 million dollars and the other scenario has 1 million Australians saving $20 after discovering a cheaper alternate store online. Who is more likely to spend their loot/savings in the coming days? My bet is on the 1 million hungry Aussies. And when these fine folk are out there spending their $20 the economy thrives, the service industry thrives, jobs are created.

Gerry Harvey may go to a fine restaurant, hire a butler, pay an exorbitant electricity bill but as a percentage this pales into insignificance when comparing it to the accumulative expenses of ordinary Australians.

          @knackers:

U didn't answer any of the legitimate questions asked of you.

How does comparing 1 million people to 1 person make sense. I'm concerned about all the kids that went to ur school. I'd take a punt and say u went to a school west of Melbourne.

No offence to West siders of Melb though, I was born and raised there and witnessed soo much stupidity and recognise similarity right here.

          @cloudy: I tried dude.. you're too daft

      • -1

When you try on clothes at a shop you are under absolutely no obligation buy the item (provided that you dont rip the tags off). I don't understand why its a bad thing to do.

    • Watch out for poor quality versions or fakes

      • -2

Moron logic: Anything not sold at Myer is fake.

Keep convincing yourself that your $70 dad jeans are superior to the 20+ pairs I've bought from Levis stores in America for less than $10 each.

        • +2

exactly, i dont know why people think $69 levis are good bargain. can easily get it for $10 a pair in the US.
Ozsale also have them for around $15-20 on sale, various style and cut.
Levi's outlets also regularly have them on sale fir around $40

        • @juventino:

Buy your $10 Levi's from the USA then go to Myer and look at the 501 and 504 Levi's and you will be shocked at the difference.

Premium Levi's are heavy and with thick denim, you just may not be used to that quality.

  • +2

$49/each at the Levi's outlet in Harbourtown SA

  • Im pretty sure Costco sells all Levis for like $44 all the time.

    • Read above about the poor quality

  • Which country makes the better quality Levi's?

    • +2

These days, the 501's seem to be from Mexico. They're better quality than Chinese made Levis but Levis were at their best when made in the US and Australia. That however, was back in the 90's.

  • No 501's on their website. Guess then that the $69 is not for all jeans a perhaps the title of this post needs to be amended

    • 501s are $69 in store. For whatever reason Myer are not selling 501s online.

      • Thanks

    $10-$20 at maceys on clearance.
    $20-$30 at maceys on special.
    $40 rrp at maceys.

We are ripped by levis-aus; make no mistake.

    Now lets talk about sizing.

Being a short-arse myself I want 29 or 30 length jeans; easy-peasy in usa (especially on border cities).

29 and 30 length in aus; ur dreaming.

And don't be misled/taken by the levis-aus line,'oh, we don't charge for taking them up' …. the FACT is is that the CUT will be wrong after they are taken up. Simple.

I buy my levi jeans in the usa. (including amazing skinny cords in amazing colours).

    • +1

Agree with the sizing. 32x30 is the best fit for me but Australian stores generally don't carry anything shorter than 32 inches.

Levis try to stop us importing so I've been buying Carhartt jeans instead.

  • I bought Levis from their store from ttp in Sa, for like 50 bucks a pair. Awesome quality and styles too!

  • +1

In Sydney DFO homebush, my last pair of Levis were $39 on sale from the Levis outlet store. So this deal is not a great bargain.

Also, try on a few pairs even of the same size, they vary by 1-2 inches. The staff agreed with my comment on the variability.
