Don't wait in line at the post office if you want to send something this christmas.

But then I'll miss out on checking out what they have in their bargain bin !!!

    • We hope we can also save you money and landfill later by not up-selling you with "bargains" ;)

  • what is this 'waiting in post offices' you speak of?
    http://auspost.com.au/business-solutions/click-and-send.html

though those rates are cheaper than auspost if you fall within their delivery areas

Thanks SBOB. We are happy that we can provide these rates cheaper than AusPost. It's also worth being aware that the 'click and send' service has "Courier pick up involves an additional charge which varies depending on the service level selected" in their terms and conditions. Sendle includes the pick up service for free so that avoiding the lines costs you nothing.

      Hope that helps.

      • I know this is a very late reply but, may be worth it for the Sendle OP.

I used 'Click and Send' and took my parcel to the post office. The clerk scanned it and said "no receipt prints out, so I believe you haven't paid for the item. I refuse to accept your parcel".

She hadn't heard of Click and Send and it took me about 15 minutes before they accepted the parcel :S

A few days later I went back, she still didn't know what Click and Send was, still refused to accept the parcel. Fortunately another team member, who also did not know what it was, accepted the parcel, only took me 10 minutes that time.

These times were after queueing up times :S

  • Signing up for the coupon just sends you this link:

    Offer expires 17/12/2015

Hi @OzJD. That link automatically applies the coupon to your order. The button to claim the coupon sends you an email to use it later, alternatively you can click "send now" if you have a package that you are ready to send. Hope that helps.

    Good to have an alternative.

Cmon people, these rates are excellent, definitely a bargain for inter city, can't even drive most places for $4.75.

Definitely a bargain imo. And Aust Post, what a joke, crap service and ever increasing prices.

I'll be giving this a go for my next delivery.

Great to see Sendle is operating in Perth now, a month or two ago they weren't.

    • Thanks BonezAU :) We're trying to expand as quickly as we can – we've added 5 cities in the last month and look forward to adding more.

  • Is there an easy way to check that u send to a certain place? For example, is Montrose, or Rosebud part of Melbourne? Or when u say Melbourne, do u mean just 3000?

    • Hi ragdollbaby. Most surrounding suburbs of the major cities mentioned are included. When you start an order you just type in the address and the booking tool will let you know if it's out of the area. You can still use the "send to address" option to test a suburb even if you plan to use the "send to email" option because you don't know the specific address. Hope that helps.

WOW. Now that's what I call an innovative service, as well as being excellent value.

Making sending a parcel as easy as making a PayPal payment is a bloody awesome idea! Being carbon-neutral is even better :)

Rep, how soon before this service is available Australia-wide? what about international services?

Also, is there some kind of real-time parcel tracking offered so that the sender knows their parcel was received and the recipient knows the parcel was sent and is on its way to them?

    • +1

Thanks Ginmi :) We're working hard to develop it as quickly as possible so stay tuned for the updates (lots in the pipeline). In terms of coverage we're currently working on scaling both domestic and international coverage. In the last month we've grown our coverage by 5 more cities (and their suburbs). In terms of tracking both the sender and receiver currently are given a tracking link and email notifications throughout the process. Hope that helps :)
