I am looking for a high interest savings account without any hoops to put my house sale proceeds into.
The catch is I dont know if the term will be 2weeks or 16weeks, so it cannot require any "Automatic Savings Plans" or "Ultra Transactions accounts".
Whats the best?
I don't understand why having an ASP or Ultra Transaction Account would be such a barrier. Both of these functions are pretty much set and forget, i.e. requires work upfront, but don't need to really monitor (minimal monitoring required for ASP making sure you having funds from the other account and no monitoring at all for the Ultra Transaction account). You can usually take your money out any time too, whether it be 2 or 16 weeks.
ING savings maximiser has 4% (provided you deposit $1k/month in).
Similar rate to a TD but without the time restrictions.
