Did I just travel back in time?

    • +9

They meant physically the largest not storage wise.

      • Sorry - accidentally hit the neg button on my smartphone screen. Is there any way to retract that?

        • I've revoked it for you, in future just press the votes link below the comment then this button

  • Didn't they do a 250Gb version of the Old 360?

    • +1

they had a few "limited editions" with 250gb before it became standard in the slim models. if i remember correctly

  • Only problem is - not sure how to transfer my existing saves on my 20GB into the 120GB.. and I havent played enough of it lately.. so

    • Transfer it to a flash drive first?

      • There's also the transfer kit which EB may have some second hand units of if you're lucky, or it can be had on eBay (not sure on the price). I have one sitting about somewhere…it was packaged with drives bought stand alone back in the day to perform the data migration.

For saves only, a USB drive would be the easier option.

  • Can I attach a 120GB drive to my new(ish) 4GB Slim 360?

    • +1

you have to get the hard drive out and fit in a new case ($5 from deal extreme) there are youtube videos that show you how but you do need special non-standard screwdrivers (it's a bit of a pain).

  • Thanks monty.melb - perfect timing! My wife inadvertenly cooked my 120GB HDD during the heatwave when she stacked some DVD cases beside the Xbox. The cases blocked the ventilation holes on the drive housing, and now the drive loads things EXTREMELY slowly. I was running around in GTAV with no pedestrians or vehicles populating the world. Cheers! :)
