Wrong amount charged.

Sorry if i posted it in the wrong section.

So last night i decided to purchase a new mouse after viewing the deal shared on ozbargain. It was a mouse advertised for $50 dollars between the times of 9-10pm 23/11/2014.

I manged to pay at 9:57pm however the system charged me $69 instead of the $50 i was told.
I have the time of the transaction at 9:57pm which was the time the amount was deduced from card according to paypal.
I have sent the company an email regarding the issue.

Any thoughts on what should i do?

  • Did it show the reduced price at checkout?

    It says that discount is applied at checkout and that there are only 100 units available.

    • Yeah as I added it to the checkout it said $49. And also as I logged into PayPal it said 49 dollars as well. But as I finished the whole purchasing process, the final receipt shown $69 and also on my PayPal history.

    Seriously. You don't expect a customer service rep to be replying to emails at midnight do you?

    As mentioned, SE have been around for yonks and they're not about to give you the shaft.

    UPDATE: I haven't revived a reply regarding the email i sent however paypal just notified me that i received a $20 dollar refund from shopping express.

    Anyways thanks for the inputs guys!
