Can this be use for sashimi?
Every time i buy salmon in Australia i use it for sashimi and it's been absolutely delicious every time, Don't get caught by the "sashimi grade" salmon labelling it's absolute rubbish.
Can you elaborate on that? Have you just risked it or do you know from fact/source that sashimi grade is non-existent
Not trying to argue, I'm genuinely curious
Personally, I dare not use supermarket cutlets for sashimi since I have no idea know how fresh it is, and how the cutlet was handled. If I want sashimi, I'll buy the whole salmon fish and fillet it myself and freeze the left over.
Sashimi grade salmon is killed immediately after being caught and must be frozen for at least 24 hours to kill parasites that may be present.

Nice price, I would ask to smell it first. More of a general woolworths or whenever buying fish.
We got some from a local woolworths, looked good, smelt touch and go. It was real iffy rare which is how I like it, had to overcook it through to make it tolerable.
Price not too bad. I prefer NZ king Salmon though
