I've booked my mum and brother a flight to New Zealand during Christmas and paid through POLi, and this was 2 weeks ago, but I've yet to see a charge on my account & it says payment confirmed on my booking? Should I give them a call or do they charge the account a little closer to the flight (I doubt it, but never know)?
Yeah I called and I tripled checked with them, apparently it's all been paid for, even though I see no charges on my CBA Netbank. They even tried to sell me seat allocations, I already paid for. I hope it's been paid for or just really delayed, because Netbank shows not a single cent has moved.
It would be nice to have that in writing, email?

Up to you, if you want to rely on them looking back for your phone call then good luck to you.
Someone somewhere will be out of pocket if you don't pay. I'm guessing you'll see in next few days money taken from CBA
I think this has happened to me before. The money was taken out of my account a few days later
I added seats to my booking before and got a confirmation mail. The money never cam from my account and figured there was a delay. When I was boarding the plane, the lady checking passports said that there was an outstanding balance on my booking and I had to pay her cash on the spot. She couldn't give me any change and said I could get it at the desk on my RTN back to departure airport.
I would call them and tell them your account has not been debited!
money is meant to be taken instantly. i would call to see if they can confirm your seat/booking, then you have proof
