Travel – Access to cash money abroad.

Hi All, I understand the whole 28 Degrees Credit Card deal with travelling as the best way to make purchases overseas.

What about access to cash money (debit card)? I am looking for the best option of withdrawing cash overseas especially when travelling across multiple countries for an extended period.

  • Hi, in Japan i used my ing direct card to withdraw 50000 jpy on a day when 1 aud = 101.63 jpy.

The rate including a 30 jpy atm and aud $2.50 atm fee came to 1 aud = 100.86.

So not sure what the best account/card is but hope this helps if you already have an ing account.

  • Frankly I'm really sick of seeing this question again and again.

It was answered last month (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/165942).

The answer has been the same for a long time.

    • Financial markets are highly competitive and product changing all the time.
People are constantly traveling and having new experiences.

I really don't see the issue in re-asking this question from time to time.

I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.
