Looking for a good AIO PC

A friend asked me to recommend them a good All in One Desktop Computer. I know you're usually better off with a normal desktop computer as they have faster components but hey that's what she wants. Price isn't a huge object, she just wants something reasonably fast, but most importantly reliable, without paying more than necessary.

I'm looking for i5/i7, 8GB RAM and an SSD would be nice. Decent size touch screen but no discrete graphics card is required. I've been looking around at Dell, and Lenovo but cant find any with SSDs which really irks me.

Has any one got any recommendations I can pass along?

Thanks! :)

  • There are variants of the ASUS ET2311INKH that come with an i5/i7 and HDD or SSD.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M93Z also can be configured as such, but SSD addon is very expensive.

Some models you could try (tick SSD checkbox to filter)

I haven't seen a Windows based AIO that isn't hideously ugly and/or more expensive than the equivalent iMac.

Something she could consider is a NUC which can be attached to the back of a monitor, and wireless mouse + keyboard to reduce desktop clutter.

That way she could pick exactly the price level she needs, take advantage of SSD bargains, choose exactly the monitor she wants (and it could be a touch monitor).

    Or just buy an iMac.

  • Is there any reason she needs touch screen or would a iMac be what she is after?

    • She's not familiar with Mac so wants to stick with windows.

      • You can install windows on an iMac. But I assume that you are simply just 'recommending' and not actually buying the product for them and setting up the software / changing hardware for them, which is why you can't recommend the Mac?

        • correct :)
