Any recommendations for Solar Garden Path Light ?
Came across few $3, $5 and $6 ones in Bunnings but wanted to check here if any better option than those at bargain price.

That's an AC light and a DC controller, I don't think it will work.
I would be interested in doing something like this but wouldn't the 100W flood light stay on during the day?
I have lots of these:

The batteries they come with are crap. They fail in 3 - 6 months.
I replace them with these ones:

I haven't had a failure with the new batteries yet. But I am sure they will die eventually, a garden is a pretty hostile environment for a battery.
I agree with the comments above re: the battery.
In addition I have found that with the really really cheap ones with flimsy plastic, the (opaque white) plastic, where the light shines out of, gets very brittle in the sun and disintegrates after around 12 months (e.g through one hot summer in Perth) - these were very cheap solar lights though (I think I paid about $25 for a box of 20 "single spike into the ground" type solar lights from Bunnings and Kmart a few years ago) and I was happy with them lasting only 12 months for that price.
Mix these components below, but don't shake;)
Speaking seriously - all cheapo solar lights don't live too long, almost all died within 3-6 month. Perhaps changing the battery to a quality one will improve their life length.
