Landline Phone with Bluetooth, Anything Decent Available in Australia?

Hi, I have been researching a home phone with bluetooth capability to allow connection with my mobile. From the reviews I have read it appears all the locally available units are crap.

The ones available on this site weren't available in Aus, well I couldn't find them via an internetl search( I live in rural NSW so I don't often get to a town with decent shops)

Anyone have any recommendations???

  • What are you trying to achieve?

The only reason I ask is that if you want to answer land line calls with your mobile phone, there are IP telephony solutions with smartphone apps which might suit. You are restricted by wifi signal only.

I actually use a Fritz!box as ADSL gateway and IP telephone host in 1 device.

I had a nice Siemens DECT handset in the UK with bluetooth connectivity, but never tried connecting to my mobile with it.

    • Off topic but the only cordless phone we have ever used that is worth having is the Siemens. Great stuff.
Don't see them around here anymore, just the crap ones.

    • Thanx for your response, I want to answer my mobile on my home phone.
Why? Because I have crap reception and have to outside to get a signal. If its at night I get bit by mozzies, in the day it can be really hot. Also I get $300 bucks credit on my mobile, my Telstra line kills me to ring anyone.I can't get ADSL as they cancelled the NBN in my area so no chance of VOIP etc.
Plan is to have a charge station outside to my mobile, then bluetooth through to the home phone.
