I am trying to plan surprise holidays for the girlfriend, and the cheapest I could find for return SYD-PERTH 25/12 04/01 was about $650 per head. We need to be back for Monday at work.
Not sure if it's possible to find cheaper than this, I tried using the NPX47 code on Virgin to have some discounts but still around this price.
Do you think waiting for Thursday Virgin happy hour worth it? I am not sure what type of discounts they have during this sale.

$580 per head with tiger with hand luggage, so then you have cost of choosing seats if you wish and checked luggage, no fees with AUS debit mastercard either. Can save $100 a head though if you come back on the 5th instead (if you think you can get away with taking the Monday off as well)

Don't fly tiger whatever you do. I've had one too many bad experiences with Tiger however cheaper they maybe just pony up and pay. Plus most of the flights from Perth are red eye unless you got some stilnox it will ruin your visit
