Crust Pizza Selected Range BOGOF

760

First deal posted.
It appears Crust is having a promo with buying one of their new pizzas and sending an SMS code to a friend for a free pizza in the same range.
I haven't tried to order and use the free pizza SMS as well, but it may work as I didn't see anything about it in the T&C's.

"Imagine a world where you could surprise your friends with free pizza, and you in turn could be surprised with a free pizza yourself.
A world full of pizza karma.

This is Pizza It Forward! We're sharing thousands of pizzas to your mates, when you order one of our new pizzas. Click here to get involved and bring on the good vibes: www.crust.com.au/PizzaItForward"

If you're not sure about this deal and want to test it out with someone, then dont forget your friend muncan…

  • +2

Cheers. So looks like you have to buy one of the three new ones then though and the other person then just gets one of the new ones too? Sucky for people like me who are vegetarian when there's no new meat-free option. Oh well

    • +5

The pizzas are all customisable. You can remove the chicken, in the Kimchi Pizza for example, and you're still left with plenty of veggies on the pizza. You can also remove the Bulgogi sauce and add Napoli sauce and it won't cost you anything extra.

      • cheers thanks for the heads up! :)

how can we stack up with AMEX small shop deal? heaps of crust pizza bars around Sydney are with AMEX shop small.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/165381

    • I tried it but it didn't work. I went through the online ordering system. My advise is to try to pay in store with Amex and it might work.

      • Which part didn't work? I've ordered flowers online in Canberra, during the last shop small event ($5 back with $20 spend?) and I still got the rebate.

        • +1

When did crust pizza start selling flowers?

When I ordered online with crust pizza with my amex I did not get a notification email for the shopsmall promotion even though my branch store is explicitly listed on the shop small website.

        • -1

@yargnairod: My statement was in response to ordering online, not that it was crust. So online orders still qualify for the rebate.

Who wants to shout me a pizza ^_^

  • Not sure if the taste justifies the steep price. Medium for $17? Large for $21? People probably eat this once a year lol.

Though trying to be unique, I think half-price is a better deal for those who are curious to get a taste of it. Never heard of it.

    • Use ur AMex with small shop offer ($20 get $10 back) and a FREE pizza

    • +1

I can justify the $21 for Crust pizza's over Dominos etc. They taste so much better. Also, free delivery is a plus!

    • +1

I would much prefer $21 of this style of 'gourmet', for lack of a better word, pizza than $21 of domino's/ pizza hut.

For this amount one could go to proper Italian like Pizza e Birra and have Wood fire Pizza.

    IMO Crust is crap!

    • You can get 2 large pizzas for ~$21 at Pizza e Birra?

      • If stacked with Amex, maybe even 2 large pizzas for $11. :)

  • +2

Can someone who has used this deal explain how receiving the pizza works? I order a pizza and give my friend's phone number.

Then do they get a voucher code for a free pizza that they can use at any time?

Wondering if I book a pizza for tonight, does my friend get the SMS straight away ?

That way we get 2 pizzas for one tonight..

Can the 'friend' be yourself, or someone else living at your own address, for example my sexy girlfriend?

    • I don't see why not…

    • +4

      sexy gf lol… sure

I guess the way to get the Amex offer is to order online, say you will pay by cash and then pay by Amex in store.

    • called up crust pizza. they told me you need to pay online if you make online order then pick up from the store. he say cannot order online then make in-store payment. so?

      • that's very strange considering they have the option to pay cash in store when you order online..

yet no stores appear to .. dumbasses

    • 'Cash payments for online orders are unavailable at Crust Turramurra, Hornsby, Epping, North Stratfield.'

I guess it is not available anywhere.

So how it going to go with AMEX offer?

    • I do that at dominos all the time… select pay cash in store then use a card when I get there .. never had an issue yet, not that it's related to the AMEX deal though.

  • I have mixed feelings about Crust. One in Annandale, fantastic but that was many years ago. One in Parramatta - so revolting I'd rather eat Dominos.

    • Yeah North Parramatta is bad.. Merrylands one is good.

  • I went through the link above and I've gone all the way through to checkout and no mention of this "enter your friends phone number" - does that only happen AFTER you have processed your order ?

Ok just ordered,, friend got the sms instantly,, ordered 2nd pizza.

    voila !!

    2 for 1 completed :)

Ordered online this evening, Selected to pay cash in store (Neutral Bay). I large Kimchi
Website asked me for friends Name and Mobile after I clicked "Place Order" but before confirming the order.
Friend received SMS after about 20 mins with a link to order free MEDIUM pizza.
Friend could select a free medium pizza from the same range and place order.
I paid via AmEx in store and picked up my Pizza and friend got theirs around the same time.

Now the issue is I made another eligible AmEx purchase 5 mins before this and so far I have received just 1 "Thank you" email from AmEx and cannot tell which purchase it is for.

  • I loved Crust when they were here in Mooloolaba. I went to the shop some months ago for my fill of delicious pizza, but found it had changed to a Pizza Capers. So disappointed. :-(

  • I got the Crust pizza from Dee Why store and have to say it was the WORST pizza ever. The pizza was ready 15 minutes before the collection time, was dry and had no flavors. Would go Dominos anytime over Crust.

And I ordered online so no hope for AMEX Cashback either.

  • only Neutral Bay store can combine with AMEX offer around Sydney

  • successfully combined with AMEX offer today at Neutral bay store. received bonus pizza sms for friend after online order and thank you email after purchase at the store

If you have no friends, you can pizza it forward to yourself by using + (or possibly 00) and Australias international dialing code instead of 0. ie: 0400 000 000 becomes +61400 000 000

    Worked for me anyway.

    • that's so awesome!

  • Tried Sat 6th Dec. Good pizza. However, friend did not receive txt so far…2 hours later…
They are up to 2,889 forwarded pizzas thus far.

  • I think this is over? Can't see anything about 'Pizza it Forward' on their site…

  • such a shame… need moar :pp
