HOLY MOLY this is cheap.
Came up when I was trying to find $50 worth of things for the $20 off thing.
Great for a party or ice cream eating competitions or a weapon.
(Edit: not in all locations, metro NSW only?)

perhaps as sweetened milk?
Instant diabetes!
Half melt it and use it for milkshakes?
Buy 30 of them, use all the discounts codes and get 120L of ice cream for $27 at 22c/L.
Store til new year's and sell to drunk people for $5 a cone.
Profit?
the problem is when it melts it turns to watery slop
Enjoy:
Skim Milk, Cream, Cane Sugar, Glucose Syrup (derived from Wheat), Water,Maltodextrin, Whey Powder, Cocoa, Emulsifiers (477, 471), Flavours (Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla), Vegetable Gums (412, 407a), Colours (160b,155, 122, 133), Salt. Milk Fat 10%
Edit: You need to edit your title to say which store as its not that price in TAS
Just the thought of that vegetable gum 407a is making my mouth water!
Funnily enough look at what's in the 8 x the price Peters brand:
Water, Cream (15%), Sugar, Milk Solids, Glucose Syrup (Wheat), Maltodextrin, Cocoa, Vegetable Origin Emulsifiers [477, 471 (Soy)], Vegetable Gum (412), Flavours, Colour (120).
That's some expensive water plus milk solids…
Funnily enough look at what's in the 8 x the price Peters brand:
yeah, but it tastes 8x better. who buys ice cream at full price anyway
The difference is that people seeking to avoid adverse reactions from artificial ingredients would avoid
* 122 Azorubine, carmoisine artificial
* 133 Brilliant blue FCF artificial
* 155 Brown HT, chocolate brown artificial
* 160b Annatto extracts, bixin, norbixin
Whereas, Peters doesn't have additives linked with adverse reactions.
From wiki…. 133 Brilliant blue is a synthetic dye produced using aromatic hydrocarbons from petroleum.
Total madness that this is technically an approved food
Ice-cream not creamcream
that actually doesn't sound that bad. most ice creams have those ingredients anyway
I.e. don't go anywhere close to it. Rule of healthy eating: if your grandma would not have recognized it as food, don't eat it.
Ice cream has been around way before your grandmother was even born.
my grandma would have recognized it. guess its because we're not hillbillies who use crude sayings to downplay our own ignorance.
what happens if your grandma owns a food additive company?
See above?
You guys do realise that even the expensive brands like Sara Lee etc have the same emulsifiers and Gums in them?
Even Connoisseur:
Dextrose Monohydrate, Colour, Vegetable Origin Emulsifier [471 (Soy)], Vegetable Gums (410, 405).
Thanks I just avoid these stuff. Just making everyone aware.
Thanks, I'll make a note when bringing something to your dinner party.
Firstly, not all additives are considered equal. For example this list, suggests that colours, flavours and antioxidants are what you need to be more careful of.
For the skeptical, it is worth reading the scientific references.
Connoisseur is made by Peters. Just look on the back label.
This price is not available in Victoria, or not regional Victoria anyway.
Not at my local in QLD either. Boo.
Edit - Must have expired as just check NSW & ACT and not on special there either (OP in Sydney).
Ironic people are complaining about the ingredients, yet some of the highest ranked deals on OzB are for fast food!
Generic brands don't produce advertising to fool the ignorant.
Same ingredients + famous brand = whatever; it's tasty.
I've only ever ordered cans of Coke from Woolworths online before. What's the freezer like on the van? What's the bet it will melt before it arrives at my door?
Edit:
Victoria - Homebrand Ice Cream Neapolitan 4l - $4.29
That's the funniest looking $1.72 I've ever seen in my life! Looks like I won't be testing out the Woolworths delivery freezer this time around!
still available for $1.72, I just added in my cart
What store?
from the online store, I choose online delivery
try this
Woolworths Homebrand = a poor mans Coles brand equivalent
how do you figure that ? They're often made in the same factory to the same recipe.
if i lived in a place where there was permafrost i could just bury a lifes supply in the backyard.
Would love to know form anyone that has ordered Coles or Woolies online/home delivery - what happens to frozen food ? What happens if you're not home when they deliver ?
i scream, you scream…
we all scream for ice cream! LOL
Is this available in store i wonder?
Lunch is served!
Or you can melt it down and use it as a substitute to milk.
