Hot Choc, Cappucino & Latte Nescafe Dolce Gusto Pods, 24 Servings for $9.97 at Costco Casula NSW (Membership Required)

110

This is really cheap considering one box of these (8 servings) are usually $8 to $9 at Coles, Woolworths, etc. There are 3 boxes in it, so 24 servings, which is really good. But I don't know if it's only the Crossroads Costco which has it, can anyone confirm if any other Costco store has it at this price, since last time I was at Costco it was $20, so its weird that it dropped in price like this. And the Costco at the time only had Hot Chocolate, which tastes great, except I prefer Cappuccino.

    Good deal. There's also a special at Target right now where you buy 3 boxes & get 1 free, which works out at an even better per/pod price of $0.39

      This is 3 boxes worth (16 pods per box) = 48 pods = 24 servings (2 pods per serving for hot choc) = $3.32 a box or $0.2075 per/pod

        So there'a actually 48 pods in each of the Costco boxes? This is then a great deal! Pity it doesn't apply to standard coffee pods as well, rather than the milky drinks. Thanks hamza & OP.

          Yeah that's right, it's just hot choc takes 2 pods per drink so 48 pods = 24 serves. Unlike cafe latte which is 1 pod per drink so 48 pods = 48 serves. Those boxes in the pic contain 3 smaller boxes of 16 which you linked to in the target deal. So it's $9.97 for 3 boxes Costco v $25.50 for 4 boxes at target.

          I stocked up on 12 boxes of cafe latte on that Target deal you mentioned, these pods are rarely discounted very much and had been waiting for months. This deal is a lot better if anyone in a Costco state can find them. Very strange these are so discounted like the OP says. Maybe they aren't so popular and trying to get rid of stock, I noticed my Target pods are best before Jan 2015 which isn't too far away.

          @hamza23: The expiry date is in May of next year so these are good to stock up on for now, and they had at least two pallets of these sitting there so I would also assume unpopularity. And I was shocked at how cheap it was, I usually have to wait until Coles do their 2 for $13.50 deal, otherwise these are pretty expensive, especially compared to other capsule coffees.

          @sarmen2:

          Nice work! Yes you're right, if you are drinking hot choc or capp that need 2 pods, it's over $1 a drink at normal Coles price, I stick to my 1 pod latte haha :p

    If the price at Costco ends with a 7 it generally indicates that it's clearance stock. Always worth keeping an eye on when looking for bargains there.

    • That's a good piece of info, I saw the Wonderful 101 for $39.97 and I figured I would wait for it to get a little cheaper but I may jump if it's on clearance.

    • yes, it looks like 1/2 price, they usually sell the 3 pack for $19.99

  • remember to check the best before date if it is on clearance
