Friends going to be in Japan for 4 weeks (Dec-Jan) landing in Osaka. I trust you guys more than Tripadvisor commenters and Whirlpool (no offense to them). Any advise is much appreciated. Must cover the whole country as they want to see all of Japan (if that's possible). A day-to-day itinerary will also be very much appreciated (if someone has been there done that and willing to share). Cheers :)

Cheers, I'll check it out
By the way, not trolling you here, but your question has been asked many many times by other people in either this forum,or whirlpool and tripadvisor.. why not spend some time reading them?
Yup, I acknowledged that but would like the latest info
Their MUST to do are:
Disneyland
Sanrioland
Mt Fuji
Osaka Castle
Ronin Shrine
Initial D (yes, they love anime)
Ride on a bullet train
SNOW, LOTS AND LOTS OF SNOW. Not to ski, but selfiesI might recommend you to get a JR Pass if they're thinking of taking the bullet train. From memory I believe it's easily $100+ each way on the bullet train, making it usually more expensive than flying, where as a 2 week JR pass will set you back about ~$480 and allows for unlimited use on bullet trains/most JR services throughout Japan.
If they're going to Osaka Castle, I'd also recommend them to check out Osaka Aquarium which was on the same subway line form memory. Feel free to PM me!
If you are travelling around Osaka, you may also consider the Osaka Amazing Pass:
http://www.osaka-info.jp/osp/en/index.html
It give you unlimited travel on most of the public transport and free entry to some sight seeing place.
What a coincidence, I'll be in osaka, Sapporo, fukuoka in december and Jan too. Wanna tag along?
