  Thats weird they changed their name from gaijin games to choice provisions, and the sequel to bit trip runner was named Bit.Trip Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien for other platforms
  What might happen is that, they have this version for free and stop updating it, and make their new developer account under new name, and have a different version there

    IAP are for gold. What does gold do? I assume it's not essential for the game.

      Gold seems to be for costumes and characters. You can earn gold in game without buying it.
