Great deal, ordered one, thanks.
Good price, have one in lime at the moment. RRP used to be something stupid like $39.95, so this is a bargain.
Not the most comfortable mouse I've used, not much of a gaming mouse either, but does very well and is easily worth $20~.
I got this mouse at the Harvey Norman financial year sales for $20 after seeing it at JB hifi for $36 odd. Laser in many ways I think is the next generation compared to optical, plus it's other attraction is the side to side scrolling. I would really recommend it.
Laser is optical's successor. Recent developments include Microsoft BlueTrack Technology and Logitech Darkfield Laser Tracking.
plus it’s other attraction is the side to side scrolling
I have always found it faster and easier to use the horizontal scroll bar.
i ordered 3. good value.
Cheap for a laser mouse. Got 2
Does anyone know the size of this mouse please? I can't find it listed anywhere on either the CoTD site or the Logitech site.
um wth is so good about this? this is corded? that's so living in the past lol!
corded = oldschool
I prefer a corded mouse when using my netbook in the car whilst travelling. Do you know what a pain it is trying to find a wireless mouse that has fallen under the car seat whilst still balancing your netbook on your portable desktop thingie whilst buckled into your seat and trying not to tip over your cappacino that is sitting in the cup holder?
Not while driving I hope?
So what is the expected delivery time range? Still:
"Your order has been successfully placed and products will arrive at their destination within 7 to 10 business days." as it STILL states upon an order being placed.
OR
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/16912:
2 - “COTD Delivery times are slow”. Anyone that has had slow delivery time in the last 5-6 months needs to get in touch with me directly. If a mistake has been made, I’d like to know so we can patch it up. E-mail: [email protected]. The vast majority of the orders placed are shipped within 48 hours of payment processing completion, at that point it is in Aus POST hands."
If the 2nd time frame then why does your site state 7 to 10 BUSINESS days (maybe for some people in remote areas, but shouldn't be for most areas)?
@Zero Sydney: I have been buying from COTD for a while now and have never had a problem with postage.
You seriously need to let go of this negativity you seem to have.
@BarginHunter: The message he's quoting above tells me he just made a purchase.
Which indicates Zero is probably a passionate COTD'er and largely misunderstood, and wants to see positive improvement.
I'm glad you pointed that out Zero, thank you - I'll have to conduct a review of all this order related communication in the near future. For now I believe its safer to under promise and over deliver.
@QQQ - CatchOfTheDay: I knew you would eventually have something he couldn't resist ordering.
@AntMan76: Yes I have ordered from COTD before, I never said I haven't. If you check from some of my previous comments elsewhere within Ozbargain, I have ordered many times, yet COTD continually fail in to live up to their claims/promises.
So when I have complained, its been from experience with the company, NOT just something made up.
I still see COTD failing to post pertinent information on the main page (ie the today's catch page) (sometimes it maybe in the product specs page, like expiry dates or extra time to disptach an item as they have to build it) but sometimes information that is needed to decide on a purchase is missing, and the omission can be very misleading about the product).
I have seen so many questions people have asked when QQQ has been active in a post but QQQ wont reply to a question about a product (not even to say that he/she doesn't know); like when people have asked about a model number or how many cells in the battery, QQQ will post other things in a post but just ignores these questions about a product (and this is when the asked for information ISN'T in the description anywhere).
like when people have asked about a model number or how many cells in the battery, QQQ will post other things in a post but just ignores these questions about a product (and this is when the asked for information ISN’T in the description anywhere).
I will agree with that.
Not displaying the model number on some goods makes it rather hard to find out what you are actually buying and if it is really a good deal.
I guess it forces people into making an undecided purchase.
@QQQ - CatchOfTheDay: But you don't even "deliver" in your promised times or prmosises ("over deliver", nope doesn't happen to me).
I had 2 parcels which left LA on Saturday delivered to me today, MUCH quicker then your company does. Even my last few Hong Kong sent items took less then a week to arrive (again quicker then something posted from suburban Melbourne). COTD delivery times are shocking mostly (yes I have read some people get them quickly, so not much use to me and some others which wait WAY TO LONG).
It's no use you telling people to email you when there is problems which they state here, it should be good for all customers (and by the time they air their problem here they aren't happy, and "fixing it up" doesn't make people happy as their p**sed off and you trying retroactively fix it doens't cut it.
You made "promises" before yet there is still the BS about "one product every 24 hours" (its on the homepage so it doesn't cut it with me saying that the site needs updating, it still hasn't been done months later).
"a passionate COTD’er" I have brought from COTD before, as I have stated before, yet your company hasn't improved (not even in the months you claimed it had). I made suggestions about how COTD could improve but you tried to riddicule me (well thats how I read it). I am NOT passionate about COTD, if there is an item which I can purhcase cheaper from COTD (including delivery, with a discount I cacluate for lack of proper gurantee being really available/usable, plus even more discount for the time it will take to get delivered) then I will buy it, if I want or need it, from COTD.
I mainly buy for others, they can have the mostly overpriced items (especially when P&H is included) (many people I know WONT buy online and buy via me). So when I tell people (I am NOT talking OZbargain here) about COTD, they TRUST me, so most items are obtained through other merchants.
You have so many fanbois who think COTD is great, and any complaints is classified as me crusading against COTD (see a post yesterday to me), the're wrong. COTD needs to lift its act.
@Zero Sydney: thanks zero, i'll pass it onto the folks
@Zero Sydney: Enough has been said here and in other deals. You can contact QQQ personally or post in the forum regarding your issues.
Mod - Keep any further comments relevant to this specific deal.
“Your order has been successfully placed and products will arrive at their destination within 7 to 10 business days.” as it STILL states upon an order being placed.
There is no point saying that someone will receive their order in 1-4 days as if there is a delay with Australia post then COTD looks bad.
Saying 7-10 days makes people much happier when the package arrived in 3
corded/wired mouse still has its market. some ppl just prefers it. and it works better in some tasks.
good for work, funny enough it can get hard to find spare batteries in the office. this solution is a lot cheaper than the wireless mice with good recharge docks.
Wireless/bluetooth mice can be susceptible to interference from other wireless devices, hence why some people including me would prefer a corded mouse.
Nice deal. These mice sell for $19 @ MSY.
It's a pity that this mouse is very un-ergonomic (may be a bit flat for bigger hands).
that's why i ordered 3. i have small hands and hard to find the right sized and weighted mouse.
I'm not sure where you got that idea but I have a 24cm handspan and never thought for a moment it's unergonomic. On the contrary I think Logitech with all their experience have created a very ergonomically sound model. Try placing your two fingers just behind the scroll wheel and let your hand sit loosely… you're not meant to grip it.
just what I needed - prefer corded actually, since I hate buggering around with batteries. thanks!
Just bought 3 for $30.75. Great deal.
Just got one of these for work the other week, really nice mouse.
Was considering getting one for the Mrs at Officeworks - $29
Instead I ordered 5 - works out less than $10 each delivered.
(Now the Kidiots can use them too).
I love COTD!!
(save me a cheap PS3 tomorrow ;-) )
Picked up two black/red myself since I'm waiting for two x200's.
I really like my MX518 but it emits a loud high pitched noise which has been reported to be a trademark of many Logitech mouses. (Only some people can hear the frequency).
Hoping this one is quiet!
picked up one. Thanks
Damn, this OZbargain thing is running me dry.
2 for me.
I know what you mean :)
saw the email late today.
Went to the site to buy but sold out.
May have to buy it from MSY.
I understand the mouse is not very comfortable to use but it sure looks good.
is not very comfortable to use
It does look uncomfortable
I have a Logitech revolution mx which is by far the most comfortable mouse i have ever used. Though it is about 10 times the cost of this mouse.
I just received my order this morning… It only took 3 days. I was expecting it to take a couple of weeks like it has the last couple of times i've used COTD… Very happy this time around.
Awesome, been looking for a sexy white mouse to go with my white asus 13" notebook. Thanks!
