Love that he not only called up and won a radio trivia contest but wanted them to send him his prize of a Snow Leopard DVD. Even though he is a billionaire he still likes getting his freebies.

5c is worthless
not if it saves you from breaking a note. plus i wouldn't say no if someone was to give me 1000 5'c pieces.
Those 5c coins accumulate pretty fast. I pick them up every time.
I wouldn't say no to 1000 x 5c either. or even if they offered 5c. but dirty 5c on the ground to me isn't worth the effort.
5c is worthless
My proposal to you is that I'll pay you 2c for every worthless 5c you send me. I'm prepared to make you very rich. Let's do this.
I'd stop to pick up 5c too. After all it is 5c net. I'd need to earn 6-7c gross to end up with 5c net. So to me it's worth more than 5c.
Do an experiment - put 5 cents on the ground in a shopping centre. I bet you'd be surprised who picks it up and who cannot be bothered. Btw I always pick up money even 5 cents but my kids think I'm crazy - if I do it 20 times it's a dollar.
