Hi fellow bargainers,
I need to claim warranty for my PS4 that I bought from Dick Smith around 7 months ago
it starts acting up and restarting itself after 3 hours
I don't have an extended warranty whatsoever
should I head to sony or dicksmith?
is it gonna be a product replacement or I need to wait for repairing service?

A mate of mine wsd in a similar boat. Rather than going through the retailer, he contacted Sony direct via the phone number in the manual. Within a week he had a replacement unit, and they let him keep the original controller.
He did have to do some troubleshooting with them over the phone to validate the replacement, but it was pretty easy.
As elvino said, I'd try Sony first - as DSE will not replace the console straight away (they'll want to send it off for 2-4 weeks).

I'm in the same boat, need to make a claim on my PS4 which I bought from Dick Smith.
It keeps ejecting the disc non stop and the fix that Sony posted up is only a temporary fix until it happens again a few days later.
I wonder what the troubleshooting Sony ask you to do on the phone will be because I can't make it happen on command.
I would assume it would at least come with a 12 month warranty.
Have you actually called or been in stock yet?
